My New Job!

Some of you might know that I have been working since Ty and I got back from our honeymoon on an internship with SUU and the Michael O. Leavitt Center for Politics and Public Service. For the first month there wasn't much for me to do, but now the project we are working on really seems to be picking up and it is so much fun.
I love to work hard and this job is stretching me to all sorts of limits I didn't know I could reach. The jist of it is that there are 53 people who worked during his administration who are now volunteering to write reviews and reports about the public policy they made while in office. For those of you who don't know, I am kind of a policy geek so this stuff really gets me going. Anyway, my job is that I am over one third of these people. I tell them when there are deadlines, I set up their meetings, I run any conferences they are having with their teams, I review their reports for viewing...what I am saying is that I have a big person job. I am in charge of successful adults. It is really weird how much fun I am having, and I hope it isn't telling of my future being somewhat of a control freak right now.
This last week I got to put on my business suits and run around Salt Lake to meetings and lunches. It was so much fun and I am so grateful for this opportunity. The project only took on three interns so I am very lucky to be a part of it.
The best part of the job is that it gives me excuses to go up to Salt Lake on a full expense paid trip. I get to see my family, friends, and it's all for free! BINGO!!! You know us Wilson's love that free stuff.
To my family, I hope that my job makes more sense now. I know that I have been vague on my descriptions and you guys think that I sit around all day twirling my thumbs, but now maybe you know that I am doing something I love and having a ball.

Makell and Grandma Holly
Beautiful Canyon

It's Hoover's Not Hooters!

Saturday was a great day. We had the opportunity to go with Tyler and his family to a restraunt called Hoover's in Marysville. It was a beautiful night in the canyon and the food was awesome. Tyler and I enjoyed all you can eat crab. Everyone was ready to leave and Tyler just wanted to keep cracking open those legs. It is always so fun to head to Richfield and spend time with Tyler's wonderful family.

Our Honeymoon

Tyler was sad last night because I hadn't put up any pictures of the two of us on the blog so I thought I would make a slide show of our honeymoon. We started with two nights in LA where we went to the boardwalk and Hollywood, but mostly relaxed. Then we boarded a cruise ship and went to San Diego, Catalina Island and Ensenada Mexico. We had so much fun being together and being able to relax after a long spring semester!

Check out my Slide Show!
