The glass was half empty...

Earlier today I was feeling a little down on myself. I felt like I didn't know what I was going to do with life, I was worried about money with school starting, and on and on. In the midst of my pity party I stood up and left work about an hour early. Now sitting here tonight I feel a little better, but I think that this post will make me feel a lot better. I am going to list off a few things that I just love...
My Husband

Chips and Salsa

Day Dreaming

Family

Music

Being Recognized for Hard Work

A+

The Gospel

Shopping for a bargain

Reading Good Books

Chick Flicks

The Smell of Summer Rain

Bonfires

Diet Coke with Lime

The Temple

Lilies

Sports

Snowmobiling

Dressing Up

The list goes on and on but I needed to reflect and remember all of the reasons to smile. We are so blessed and if I don't count them I get down in the dumps, and getting dumped on is no fun.

A Sad Day in the Life of Laura

Barbie was sold yesterday. I know that many of you are sad about this sale, but not as sad as me. We have to pay tuition somehow and the truck was just no longer needed. We got a pretty good price for it from a nice Mexican man. He drove it to Chihuahua Mexico last night when he took it away. Barbie was the sturdiest most reliable college car I could have. We were lucky to sell it and get what we got for it. Barbie headed to Mexico and found her way home yesterday!

Ohh La La!

Dallas, Amy, Tyler and Laura having so much fun!

Our Loving Husbands who came ot the concert even though they weren't that excited.

Yay! I was so happy.

Two of my favorite boys

John Mayer Set

I admit that I probably wouldn't get starstruck by many people, but I believe that I would be speechless if I every saw Mr. John Mayer. My cutest cousin Amylee got Tyler and I tickets for our wedding and she and I couldn't wait. All our hardwork of memorizing songs that no one even knows paid off when he played "Stitched Up". We were so lucky to have our sweet husbands come. Neither of them really understand why Amy and I are so awestruck by him, but it should be easy enough to see. As soon as he opens his mouth and plays a riff on the guitar I am gone. It was so much fun to be with each other and enjoy good music. Thanks again Dallas and Amylee! We love you...almost as much as I love John Mayer. :)

Another Fun Weekend!

We had another weekend that was jam packed with fun. Tyler and I headed up to Kaysville to spend some time with my family and work. We always love seeing family and this weekend was no exception!

This is Tyler with Lyla and Connor while we were visiting at Blake and Andrea's house. They were so cute while this airplane toy was going off. They were laughing so hard, it was very cute. Connor loves his uncle Tyler and can't get enough of him when we are around.

On Saturday we got to spend the day with my sister and her kids at the swimming center. We took Luke and Zach down the big slides a number of times each time they wanted to go faster. Little Zachary has no fear and the need for speed. We also got to spend time with Baily who we don't get to see as often and she is so cute! She is turning into quite the little lady.
Let me not forget to mention Batman. It was so good, but I did think after watching it that it was so very close to Satan's plan. He doesn't much care about anything he just wants people to self destruct. I guess it was a good introspective because I don't want him to win. Loved the movie though and would recommend it for most.

Our New Place

With marriage comes living together. It's not always easy, but it is always fun. Little by little it is coming together. I never thought I would have a creative decorative eye without my mother, but it seems she has rubbed off just a little bit. We are finally getting things put together and it feels like a "home"! Yay, we love being married and I don't really mind living with a boy.

Summer Time Fun!

Summer is such a good time to squeeze in as much fun as you can possibly imagine. Over the last month we have had such good things happening. We have had the arrival of sweet baby Tylee and the passing of the strong spirit of baby Mac. First trips to the lake, swim parties at Rawlee's, Laura's very first Richfield Fourth of July, Trips to the Aviary with nieces and nephews and so much other fun. Tyler was also awarded with a scholarship in which he received a big check...the cash amount wasn't bad, but it was a literal big check. We felt oh so Publisher's Clearing House. Summer is the best time to be with Family and enjoy each others company. We feel so blessed to have such great people around us all the time!

Tag...I'm It!

Eight Random Facts About Me:

1. I have never broken a bone, had a surgery, had stitches. I fall a lot but seem to be medically sound.

2. I was once given an award for being funny. It's something I pride myself in...immensly.

3. I am a TV junkie. I love getting lost in the drama of any ridiculous show and find myself lost hours later. It is a pathetic habit that I need to break.

4. I look just like my mom did when she was my age and we were both married when we were nineteen.

5. I believe that hell will be one continuous parking garage with no spots and you are following an idiot who forgot to turn off his blinker.

6. I am a control freak, which Andrea assured me was ok so I am taking her advice and just rolling with it.

7. If Tyler would allow, I would love to live outside of Utah, particularly somewhere in Washington.

8. My dream has always been to be a lead in a musical and have a magical powerhouse voice.

That was fun, now I am done being it. I tag Clay and Leslee and Marion.
